For instance, if there is a pool young children may have limited hours they can use it.
Some of the 55+ communities may include everything from grass, snow, landscaping, exterior of the home, clubhouse and pool while others may only have rules for ownership with respect to 55+. There may not be a clubhouse. They may not do the grass and snow.
A Lehigh Valley 55+ Active Adult Community usually means you are looking for something with an active clubhouse/pool and clubs you can join (the travelers club, the dining out club, the billiard club, the craft club...etc). Active Adult usually has a monthly calendar with lots of activities you can do (or not do...depends on you).
As you go forward, on looking at 55+ Communities you should take into account what exactly are you to obtain on this critical move.

- Square Footage (number of bedrooms/baths, any additional space for craft/hobby room, storage, basement/2nd floor)
- Amenities (clubhouse, pool, golf course)
- Exterior Maintenance (snow, grass, landscaping, exterior of home)
- Rules and Regs (children/grandchildren, pets, gardens, fences)
- Garage (number of cars)
